We’re excited to announce our very first project management integration — a powerful, automatic, two-way sync between Success.co and Teamwork.com.
As the former Chief of Staff at Teamwork.com — and with thousands of EOS® users on InstantAgencyTools.com (Teamwork's free EOS® tool, soon to be sunset) — this integration was the natural starting point. We knew we had to get this one right.
This post is a look at what we’ve built, how it works, and what makes this the best project management sync in the EOS® space.
What the Integration Does
Turn it on once, and your Success.co todos stay perfectly in sync with a Teamwork.com project of your choosing — automatically and in both directions.
We sync the following fields:
Name
Description (HTML ↔ Markdown)
Due date
Assignee/Owner
Priority
Status
Every update you make in either system is reflected in the other. No buttons to push. No half measures. Just smooth, real-time sync.
Why We Built This Integration
One of the biggest challenges teams face with EOS® is keeping their Level 10 todos top of mind. It’s all too common for an action item from a great meeting to be forgotten — only to resurface in the following week’s L10 when someone says, “Oh yeah… I forgot about that.”
Why? Because those todos live in a separate system that you don’t check every day.
That’s why we built this integration — to bring your EOS® execution into the place where you actually work. Most teams live in their project management tool throughout the day. That’s where priorities are tracked, work gets done, and progress is measured. So syncing L10 todos with tools like Teamwork.com makes them part of your daily workflow, not just your weekly meeting.
It was also the #1 requested integration type from our users — and we started with Teamwork.com for a simple reason: both founders of Success.co came from Teamwork. We know the product, we know the user base, and we knew we could make it great.
Elegant Setup — Then It Just Works
Getting started is easy. From your Settings->Integrations page click "Enable", then:
Authenticate with Teamwork.com
Choose a default project
Choose a default task list
We even include a “reload” option in case you update your Teamwork projects or task lists during setup. That's it. It takes maybe 60 seconds.
Per-Team Destination Options
Need more flexibility? You can also set a different destination project or task list per team. For example, your Marketing team can send their tasks to a separate Teamwork project — no problem.
The Magic Behind Two-Way Sync
We’ve put serious work into making this integration seamless and rock-solid. Changes sync to Teamwork in about 2 seconds, with no buttons or delays. Here’s how it works:
We automatically pull updates from Teamwork every time a todo is rendered in Success.co.
A manual resync button is available if needed — but you’ll rarely need it.
We use smart field mapping, ID reconciliation, and description format conversion between HTML (Success.co) and Markdown (Teamwork).
A hashing system ensures we detect the latest changes on either side without redundant updates.
A robust queuing system keeps syncs moving smoothly, even during server spikes or downtime.
We honor Teamwork’s eTags, so we never overwhelm their API.
A reconnection system that remembers your team/project mappings if the integration get's disconnected (due to user or permission changes) and preserves all existing links.
Even if a user is assigned in Teamwork but doesn’t exist in Success.co, we handle it gracefully — preserving the original assignment data.
Connected on Both Sides
In Success.co: Click the Teamwork.com icon (list view) or the link icon (side panel) to jump to the synced task in Teamwork.
In Teamwork.com: We automatically append a link to Success.co in the task description.
Everything stays connected.
Why We Rebuilt It from Scratch
Here’s a bit of behind-the-scenes.
We had an early version of this sync working in just a day — it covered the basics and handled one-way sync for most fields. It worked. But we asked ourselves:
Are we going the extra mile for our customers?
